General Dodonna was one of the Old Republic's most
brilliant strategists. Now he must use all of his knowledge and all of his
tricks to outwit the commanders of the Imperial fleet—many of whom were trained
with his own tactics!
To give the fledgling Rebel Alliance time to consolidate
its forces, Dodonna chooses as a base an ancient, deserted temple on a moon
orbiting a gaseous planet. But setting up Yavin Base is complicated by the need
to raid Imperial convoys, by internal squabbles among the Rebel leaders, and by
the monstrous creatures who have also laid claim to the temple!
This two-issue story reveals little-known secrets about
the early Rebellion.

While establishing the Rebel base on Yavin IV, General
Dodonna clashes with fellow Rebel commander Roons Sewell over plans for the
future of the still-fledgling Alliance. Sewell is a charismatic leader who has
won the hearts and minds of the Rebel rank and file, but his flair for the
dramatic worries the more pragmatic Dodonna. It's age and experience versus
youth and vigor. But with the Empire searching for the new base, and ready to
swoop in and destroy the Rebels at the first opportunity, the behind-the-scenes
struggle between Dodonna and Sewell could have unexpected—and unwanted—results for the Alliance!

After the mutiny on board the Rand Ecliptic, Biggs
Darklighter and his companions finally are able to make contact with the Rebel
Alliance. The Rebels desperately need skilled pilots like Biggs and his
friends, but it's hard to fight the Empire with the outdated fighter craft they
have on hand.
A plan is hatched to "liberate" several
squadrons of X-wings, but until the Rebels get their hands on the new fighters,
their only hope is pluck, luck, and the skill of pilots like Biggs
Darklighter...

It is a new day in the Mandalorian Wars. For most of a

after the Battle of Yavin
intro text (page 5):
Darth Krayt, leader of the One Sith, has been reborn
from his near death at the hands of Darth Wyyrlok; he has sent ripples through
the Force so that all Sith know he is alive and well.
Cade Skywalker, the last known Skywalker heir, has
also sensed Krayt’s return, and has finally accepted that it is his destiny to
face the Sith Emperor, even if it means his own death.
What no one knows is that Darth Krayt is returning
stronger than before, with a new army of unquestionably obedient Sith troopers
and a powerful armada of new ships...
back-cover text:
It’s all-out war as the Sith emperor returns from the
dead – stronger, more evil, more determined, and prepared to unleash a new Sith
army upon the galaxy. Roan Fel’s loyalist Imperials, the Galactic Alliance, and
the Jedi are all on the defensive – reeling from attacks by the unified Sith.
But Cade Skywalker has his own plans for this war –
all the time he has spent avoiding his legacy has finally shown him that he
can’t run... He must stand alone against Darth Krayt!

The Empire is dying, but like a dog near death, the
Empire is at its most dangerous, ready to lash out with nothing to lose. Grand
Admiral Thrawn may have found just the firepower needed to take a bite out of
the New Republic: some two hundred Dreadnought heavy
cruisers, lost to hyperspace in the days of the Old Republic. Luke, Leia, Han,
and Chewbacca may be up against more than they bargained for, but it's not the
first time the odds have been stacked against them!

Jedi, but Jennir isn't a Jedi anymore and his lightsaber must stay hidden.
Meanwhile, Darth Vader returns to Coruscant and must face
his master-and fallout from the events in the "Vector" crossover!
What you may not know: To protect his sets from unwanted

The miasma of the dark times following the rise of the
Empire entangles both the high and the low. Darth Vader comes to a realization

command.
While half a galaxy away, Dass Jennir, who has kept his
Jedi past a secret from his employer, discovers that his employer hasn't been
completely honest with him, either. The job Jennir has been hired to do is only
part of what needs to be done, and a Jedi never leaves a
job half-finished -- even if it means fighting ten-to-one odds!

intro-text (page 51): Thousands of
years before the rise of Darth Vader, the Galactic Republic united a galaxy
under the rule of the Senate and ushered civilisation into a golden age – its
trillions of citizens governed by a democratic Senate and protected by the
mystical Jedi Order.
In this era, the Jedi were numerous and served as
guardians of peace and justice. Immense wars were fought by the Jedi of old,
against the ancient Sith.
The war ended in a tense peace agreement. But while
the Republic focused on rebuilding, the Empire sought to ensure its superiority
in the next war. The result is the Sun Razer – a superweapon factory created by
the Sith Lord, Darth Mekhis.
Theron Shan, elite Republic spy and son of the Grand
Master of the Jedi Order, has joined with alien criminal Teff’ith – a
small-time thug and petty thief – and Jedi Master Nghani Zho – legendary hero,
mentor to the Jedi Council, and Theron’s childhood guardian. Together, they
have infiltrated the Sun Razer, hoping to destroy it...

The war between the Empire and the New Republic drags

Kir Kanos, the last surviving member of Emperor
Palpatine’s Royal Guard, has learned of Admiral Devian’s plan to kill thousands

come much too easily.
On Coruscant, Chief of State Leia Organa Solo is faced
with a difficult decision regarding her Chief of Security, Mirith Sinn: should

treaty? Leia’s brother, Luke Skywalker, thinks not, while her husband, Han
Solo, is far away, completing a long mission...

intro text (inside-cover):
Zayne Carrick had seen the Mandalorian Wars as an
innocent bystander. Now, drafted into the militia of his homeworld to fight the
armored nomads, the Jedi dropout struggles to keep that innocence and to protect
lives – lives on both sides.
Alarmed by the carelessly violent tactics of Republic
Captain Dallan Morvis, Zayne races to warn the Mandalorians and keep them away
from a trap that means certain death. But another trap is sprung by the
Mandalorians that snares Zayne and the crew of Reciprocity alike.
The architect of that trap is the greatest surprise of
all: Jedi Master Dorjander Kace. Ostensibly converts to Revan’s crusade against
the Mandalorians, Kace and his disciples reveal their true color – and armor –
as members of the Mandalorian Knights. Now, it seems, the Mandalorians have
their own Jedi...

intro text ( inside-cover):
Having stolen Imperial data files, the crew of the Uhumele discovered that an Imperial patrol may have
intercepted their Jedi friend Dass Jennir’s ship and caused it to crash on a
desert world named Prine.
Darth Vader, learning that the Imperial databanks were
breached, is now following the same clues, hoping they will lead him to both
Jennir and the mysterious assassin who
murdered Vader’s one source of information on the Jedi.
On Prine, the assassin and his droid believe they are hot
on Jennir’s trail, not realizing that Jennir is actually on a collision course
with them – as he attacks a caravan of desert pirates who have captured his
companion, Ember Chankeli...

Take the events and characters from one of the classic Star Wars films, throw in one happenstance, mishap, or technical glitch beyond the characters'
control, and watch how that changes everything. In Dark
Horse's first foray into Infinities (A
New Hope), Luke Skywalker's valiant torpedo
attack on the Death Star failed due to a faulty detonator—an event no one could
have foreseen—and the Rebellion was dealt a debilitating setback. In Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back, Han Solo's desperate attempt to locate his friend Luke
in the icy wastes of the planet Hoth is thwarted when the tauntaun he's riding
succumbs to the cold while Han is still a mile from Luke's location. Han
arrives too late, barely in time to hear Luke's dying words about Jedi training
and the planet Dagobah...
Thus begins an adventure far different than the one seen
in the motion picture. Along the way, a famous bounty hunter is frozen in
carbonite, Han and Chewie are captured on Tatooine by Jabba the Hutt, and
Princess Leia and Yoda have a fateful jungle showdown with Darth Vader!
Collects the four-issue miniseries.
