The survival of the Republic depends on two factors:
wise governing by administrators and lawmakers, and the preservation of harmony
and justice by the Jedi. It is a practice for Jedi to become guardians of new
star systems, overseeing transitions and assisting with local difficulties.

Chronology, pages 8 - 10)

01:03, late day (Deep Core, Empress Teta system): The Republic
seizes control of the Empress Teta system, scattering the remaining dark-side
Krath followers. Surviving Sith forces begin to retreat to territory that had
historically been considered Sith space in the Outer Rim near Korriban, Thule,
and Yavin. (note: Star Wars: The New Essential Chronology states that these events
happen after the conclusion of the Sith War)

01:12, day (Core
Worlds: Coruscant, Republic City): With the Jedi world
of Ossus ruined during the recent Sith War, the Jedi relocate their
headquarters to the existing Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Plans are made to expand
the structures that already sit on the site of a Force wellspring. The Jedi
also plan to increase their ties to the office of the Supreme Chancellor of the
Republic. (note: Star Wars: The New Essential Chronology states that these events
happen after the conclusion of the Sith War)

01:03, late day (Deep Core, Empress Teta system): With
the Sith seemingly extinguished, attention turns to the cleanup. Following the
Sith War, terentateks, fallen Dark Lord of the Sith Exar Kun’s alchemically
birthed monstrosities that feed on Force-strong blood, still prowl the Rim
worlds. The Jedi Knights are send on a ‘dragon quest’. Each terentatek stands
about half the size of a rancor and is a match for an entire squad of Jedi,
making their extermination the Jedi Order’s highest priority at this time. (note: Star Wars:
