06:24, morning (Colonies, Stenness system: Ambria): A Sith disciple driven mad by the
power of the dark side arrived on Ambria centuries ago and began to enslave the
sentient species and use many of the native fauna as beasts of burden,
concentrating all of her efforts on the creation of an enormous dark-side
obelisk that will rise into the sky like a black spike wedged into the world’s
surface. Over hundreds of years the construction continued, the Sith
sorceress’s obsession as strong as ever.
Now, the obelisk is finished and the Sith sorceress
attempts a complex Sith ritual that calls on more power than any individual had
asked of the dark side of the Force before. But the rite fails, and the
sorceress unleashes a wave of Force power that destroys every living thing on
Ambria and infuses the remaining elements with deep dark-side stains. (note: Star Wars:
Tales of the Jedi Companion states that this occured ‘millennia’ ago, and
‘hundreds of years’ after construction of the obelisk had begun)
